Planet Waves Assorted Pearl Celluloid Guitar Picks, 10 pack, Medium

Planet Waves Assorted Pearl Celluloid Guitar Picks, 10 pack, Medium Review

Planet Waves Assorted Pearl Celluloid Guitar Picks, 10 pack, Medium Feature

  • One of the first polymers ever created, cellulose nitrate is made by reacting cotton fibers with nitric acid
  • They are available in a wide variety of thicknesses, shapes, and colors, and provide a natural feel and warm, fat tone

Planet Waves Standard Guitar Picks--Right for Any Hand

When it comes to playing a guitar, nothing but the best will do. That's why Planet Waves Medium Standard Guitar Picks are the right choice. They are the right tool for the job, which is producing awesome music. Stylish in pearlized colors, these medium guitar picks are the most popular picks out there today. Not too thin and not too heavy, they are just right for every guitar-playing style.

Attractive, stylish, beautiful sound.

The Right Fit No Matter the Age
It does not matter if this pick will be used by someone who is six-years old or sixty-years old, the Planet Waves Standard guitar pick will be just what the doctor ordered. The pearl finish is attractive enough for kids to want to use, thick enough not to snap when used on electric guitars, and thin enough not to muddle the sound of the strings.

Why a Medium Guitar Pick?
A medium guitar pick is 0.73–0.81 mm or 0.028–0.031 inches thick. When playing rock or heavier music, or while playing electric guitar with hi-gain amplification or distortion, thinner picks produce muddier, less precise, less controlled sound while thicker picks produce more specific, more controlled and well-shaped tone. Thinner picks also tend to rip or tear more often if used too forcefully, whereas a thicker one is less likely to wear down. Thicker picks are generally used in more discrete genres, such as heavy metal or power metal.

Comes in a 10-pack of assorted pearlized colors.

Celluloid, Historically Speaking
Invented in 1856, celluloid is considered the first invented thermoplastic. This was the first plastic ever used to produce picks, and it is still used today--especially for guitarists aiming for vintage tone. Celluloid is easily molded and shaped, and it was first widely used as an ivory replacement. Easy to manufacture, easy to produce, celluloid is the favored pick of guitarists around the world.

Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner

Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner Review

Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner Feature

  • Ultra-compact design
  • High-precision LCD needle-type meter for stable tuning
  • Quinta Flat Tuning mode lets you tune 1--5 semitones flat
  • Supports 7-string guitar tunings
  • Sound Out can produce a reference tone from the internal speaker

Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner--Featuring a Quinta Flat Tuning Mode

The Korg GA1 offers the same excellent features as the top-selling GA30 tuner but with a new enhanced design. High accuracy and superb functionality have made Korg tuners a worldwide favorite. With even more features--like a pitch reference tone and quinta-flat tuning--the Korg GA1 tuner packs basic functionality and convenient tuning functions into an ultra-compact body.

Small, thin, light and powerful.

An Easy-to-Use Dedicated Guitar and Bass Tuner
The Korg GA1 is a dedicated guitar/bass tuner that lets you select either Guitar mode or Bass mode for truly easy operation with automatically detected pitch. The wide detection range supports 7-string guitar (7B through 1E) in Guitar mode, and 6-string bass (Low-B, Hi-C) in Bass mode. A high-sensitivity mic is built in, allowing easy and accurate tuning of acoustic guitars.

Ultra-Compact Body with a "Tilt Slit"
Although the Korg GA1 is small, thin, and light, don't let its pocket-sized body fool you. The GA1 can accurately tune any guitar or bass. From studio to stage, tuning is easy and convenient. The back of the unit includes a unique arc-shaped tilt slit that lets you insert a plastic card to use as a handy stand. The meter section uses an LCD needle, combining the accuracy of an LCD with the easy visibility of a needle, and providing a stable display. LEDs that indicate pitch deviation provide additional visual feedback.

Features an ease-to-read LCD display.

High-Precision Display and Sound
The meter section uses an LCD needle, combining the accuracy of an LCD with the easy visibility of a needle, and providing a stable display. Additional visual feedback is provided by LEDs that indicate pitch deviation. In addition to visual tuning via meter, the GA-1 can play reference pitches from its internal speaker (Sound Out) for tuning by ear. Each press of the Sound switch will cycle the output sound through 7B->6E->5A->4D->3G->2B->1E in Guitar mode, or LB->4E->3A->2D->1G->HC in Bass mode.

Quinta Flat Tuning Mode--A World-Wide First
The Quinta Flat Tuning mode supports lowered tunings used in heavy metal styles to give more weight to your sound. Until now, dedicated guitar tuners have supported a maximum of only four semitones below standard pitch. But the GA-1 gives you five steps of flatted tuning, extending as far as five semitones below standard pitch, and supporting even super-long scale guitars that are five frets longer than conventional guitars.

Power-Saving Functions
If you leave the unit powered-on for 20 minutes without performing any operation, the Auto Power Off function will turn the power off automatically, avoiding unnecessary battery consumption. Low-power consumption design allows an amazing 100 hours (approximate) of continuous battery life (A4 continuous input, Meter mode, zinc-carbon batteries).

Dean humbuckers, Tune-o-Matic bridge.

Isn't it time you get your (headstock) wings?

Dime It
The late great Dimebag Darrell is a serious metal guitar hero, and Dean's series of Dimebag models pays homage. Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late '70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag models to choose from, all boasting Dimebag's distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude.

Basswood Body
The Dimeblade features a lightweight basswood body. Basswood is great for heavier rock and metal styles, delivering a nice even tone that feeds a dirt pedal (or a dimed Marshall) nicely.

Of course what's really striking about the body is the wicked custom finish. Dimebag and his signature are portrayed, along with his trademark razor necklace, over green lightning graphics.

Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.

The DB's maple neck features an ultra-playable 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, with custom arrow inlays and a DB razor inlay at the 12th fret.

Dean Humbucker Pickups
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers, which provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.

Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These tuning machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.

Tune-o-Matic Bridge
The '79's Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides even more sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped plate mirrors the headstock wings for some nice vintage Dean style.

DBD Traction Knobs
Dimebag always rocked his "traction knobs," which he created by taking a soldering iron to them, for knobs that are grippable no matter how much sweat's pouring off you on stage. Dean faithfully recreates that here.
